CBA BRAND STYLE GUIDE
Core ELements
The Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) logo consists of two elements: the logotype and the bankers symbol. The lowercase ‘b’ is a reference to the word Bankers in our name, which is also the common link in both English and French.

The unadorned ‘b’ suggests a modern, quietly confident organization. It’s bold and elegant without being arrogant or showy. Our logo should always be reproduced in our corporate colour, CBA Blue.

Our Name Written in Text

English
In written copy, always spell out our entire name for the first reference – Canadian Bankers Association.

In subsequent references our name can be abbreviated to CBA (always set in all caps). No other variations are accepted.

Our full name should always be treated like a proper name, with capital letters to start the principal words.
French
In French, the spelled-out name has an initial cap only on the first word – Association des banquiers canadiens, and acronym, ABC is all set in upper case.

2.3  Profile Icon

In general our logo exists as a single unit and should never be taken apart. The exception to this rule applies to instances where space is extremely limited such as profile icons in various social media, where the bankers symbol can be used alone.

Whenever possible, apply the bankers symbol in close proximity to the full version of our logo.

2.4  Clear Space and Minimum Size

To ensure the greatest visual impact, the logo must always be framed within a zone of minimum protected clear space.

The clear space for our logo is equal to or greater than X – the height of the words Canadian Bankers in our name. No other graphic element (e.g., photography, typography, illustration, graphic patterns, etc.) should appear in this space.

Minimum Size

In order to ensure legibility at small sizes, minimum sizes – based on the width of the Bankers Symbol – have been suggested for our logo.
